![]() ![]() ![]() I was fortunate to get to see Weathering With You in the theater earlier this year, and I loved it. It's not like Your name so don't go in thinking you will get exact feels it isdifferent with it's own merits and demerits. Though I didn't cey buckets like I did while watching KIMI NO NA WA ( that shit is something else), but I enjoyed it. I am an emotionally monotone person so saying that I was emotionally invested in the book is something great. They all bring important aspects which add to the story, while letting the main two characters shine. Seeing Keisuke make the necessary clutch decision really made me smile. ![]() The interaction between MCs was refreshing and cute. Even the side characters were equally enjoyable as the main characters. Their chemistry was perfect and cute.Īll the characters are fresh and real. Perfectly paced story which kept the readers on edge as they wanted to know the fate of our Sunshine girl Hina and our very own runaway boy Hodako. It's grounded yet magical and has both a fantasy and realistic feel. The plot about star crossed lovers is exceptional as one can expect from Shinkai. Though both these stories are very similar, but Kimi no na wa is still better and beautiful than tenki no ko. Let's start off by saying that I am an absolute fan of Makoto Shinkai, yet I delayed reading/watching TENKI NO KO because many people claimed it to be better than KIMI NO NA WA and I want nothing to be better than it. ![]()
